Pettitt's Supervalu Wexford Half Marathon & 10k - April 13th 2025

Welcome to the Pettitt’s SuperValue Wexford Half Marathon & 10km. Wexford has the lot. Starting on the Quays of Wexford Town runners and walkers will then travel out to the country side and enjoy a sheltered route that brings them back towards the finish line at the historic ‘Faythe’ in Wexford Town. Wexford has proven itself a must do race for quality, friendliness and atmosphere. Parking is easy and the course has plenty of variety.

Number collection information will be released closer to the event date.

You can opt to have your race number posted out to you, so you can arrive on race day with your number already pinned and ready to run.  Just add race number postage to your order when registering online.

Please note:  DO NOT park in Paul Quay car park. This is closed for the race start.

We suggest you carpool, get lifts or use public transport where possible.

Wexford train station is just a 10-minute walk from the start area.
Bus Eireann bus #2-X2 also stops at the station about 10 minutes away.

Bag drop will be located in the Faythe at the National Learning Network Centre (NLNC). It will be open at 8am. Please make sure you have a bag to store your items as they will need to be labelled. If it is raining, please bring a plastic bag to keep it dry, as the area is not covered. 

Your baggage label is the strip along the bottom of your race number.  Please tear off the baggage label and attach it to your bag before handing your bag in. You will need to show your race number to retrieve your bag after the race, so please ensure your race number is well pinned to your running top. 

Half marathon walkers will begin the race at 10am.
Half marathon runners will start at 10.15am.
10km participants will start at 10.30am.

The races will start in waves. Please note, your race time will only begin once you cross the starting mat so no need to rush to get over it.

There will be pacers for the half marathon only. 

The pacer times will be:

  • 1hr 30mins
  • 1hr 45mins 
  • 2hrs 
  • 2hrs 15mins

The start line is located along the seafront at Paul Quay car park. The scenic route will then take you out to the countryside before turning back for the town and finishes in the historic Faythe in Wexford Town.

There will be signage and marshals on the course to direct you. Please keep an eye out for these and follow their guidance. 

NOTE: Please stick to paths and cycle lanes as much as possible, especially on the final few kms on the road back into Wexford.

The marshals are volunteers from DMP AC so please be respectful towards them.
There will be a lead bike ahead for both the Half Marathon and 10km.

Toilets: Toilets will be located at the start on Paul’s Quay and at the finish in the NLNC. There will also be toilets along the route at the water stations.

Please do not go into the Talbot Hotel to use their toilets!!

Half Marathon water stations at 6km, 13km & 16km.
10km water station at 6.5km.

Water is being provided in reusable cups. The cups are collected, washed and reused in future events. Please use the skip bags provided on the route to dispose of your cups, and the designated bins ONLY, at the finish!  This is part of our movement to reduce the environmental impact of our events.

Those displaying a valid race number will receive a medal once you finish the race. There will be water, bananas and bars distributed in the finish pen. Talbot hotel will also be providing soup in the NLNC (National Learning Network Centre) at the finish area.

Please try to move through the finish pen as quick as possible to allow room for finishers behind you.

Medical services will be present on the day.
